PA People Count is a resource of The Pittsburgh Foundation

The 2015 Pennsylvania budget impasse has caused significant harm to human services nonprofits, many of which serve the most vulnerable populations in our state. In fall 2015, nearly five months into the impasse, The Pittsburgh Foundation created PA People Count and #PAPeopleCount to say enough is enough. Pennsylvanians deserve a budget that fully funds human services.

We also need a budget process that never allows Pennsylvania nonprofits to be held hostage ever again. In sharing nonprofit impact stories and providing advocacy tools, our goal is to push for long-term budget reforms. Nonprofit organizations are not political pawns. Funding for this initiative is provided by The Pittsburgh Foundation in association with the United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania.  Coordination is provided by the Greater Pittsburgh Nonprofit Partnership .
